issue with plugin gwolle-gb

    Hi

    really great plugin but I have one issue. I tried to set up rights for contributor and add him access to Guest Book – plugin: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/gwolle-gb/
    but it doesn’t work properly. Contributor has access only to:
    (gwolle-gb/settings.php)
    (gwolle-gb/import.php)
    (gwolle-gb/export.php)

    and hasn’t to:
    (gwolle-gb/gwolle-gb.php)
    (gwolle-gb/entries.php)
    (gwolle-gb/editor.php)

    I would like to he has to all pages of this plugin.
    All the other plugins are ok, only with this I have this issue.

    Could you help me, please?

  • Hi,
    For settings, you need manage_options capability. Apparently he has that.
    For moderation, you need moderate_comments capability. Apparently that is missing.

    There is a plugin User Role Editor that can assign those capabilities to e certain role.

    Hi Marcel,
    Looks like these two plugins works together, thanks. I have one request. Is it possible to disable (for contributor) “personalization”, “header” and “background” in Appearance? And leave access to “widgets” and “menu”.

    When I uncheck edit_theme_options it caused that all Appearance is disable.

    I don’t know the answer to that question, sorry.
    Maybe you can look into the code and see if there are different capabilities used. Or maybe there are filters or actions that you can adapt or disable. Sorry, I just don’t know.

    As hint from the plugin side. The Adminimize can’t change capabilities of roles or other plugins. It’s hide only area, not allowed.
