issue with rename

    Hi Sir,
    Please,
    I need your help,
    I changed the name of the parent theme name and i edit the css file in the child theme : name of the Template and the url to the same name of the renamed theme folder.

    after that i get the following :
    The active theme is broken. Reverting to the default theme

    How can i fix this issue ? is there something must i change on the database?

    * The name of the parent theme in “template” and in (the now broken/to be replaced) @import file is the name of the directory, not the name of the theme. Makes sure you have the directory name correct (it is case sensitive).
    * Since you renamed the directory, check to make sure the parent theme is enabled

    Beyond that, I’m not too sure. I’d have to see more. ??

    Thanks a lot for your answer,
    You mean, , I must first enable the parent theme, and then rename it, and after that change the name on the dIrectory in the child theme css file,
    is that right? or ?

    Yes, there may be a case where the parent theme directory was renamed and WordPress lost track of it. Make sure it it working or the references to the directory won’t work.
