During WooCommerce checkout, we require billing & shipping state, for obvious reasons. However, Sweden does not have that formality as part of their address. So when a customer attempted to order, it told him he had to enter a billing state / county, however the field was hidden! I was able to bypass this by making bill state / county an “optional field”. For obvious reasons I don’t want to keep it that way.

Surely there is a simple fix to this? Thanks in advance! I’d like to not require state / county for countries who don’t have that as part of their address.

    Hi there,

I’d suggest that you use our https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-checkout-field-editor/ to adjust the fields you want to display on the checkout page.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.

Sorry, I didn’t see your response. Does this mean we are saying the default WooCommerce Checkout Manager is incapable of correctly handling this? I researched this plugin and I don’t see any benefit per say to paying for this yearly. It appears to be just like the one I’m already using.

What can I do in the free version to resolve?
