Issue with resend all unconfirmed

we have a petition where 400 of 1300 have a status of “unconfirmed”. Tried to do a “Resend Unconfirmed” and it chugged away for a while then errored with a timeout. There are no other details in the error.log. Tried to increase max_execution time and ran again, same results

This is the first I have heard about this. But then again, it is a relatively new function that may not have been used a lot with a large number of emails to send.

One thing it might be is that your host may have a limit on how many emails per hour you can send. I do on my server. Perhaps you have hit that, it would be worth asking.

Unfortunately, I think this has resulted in a number of people getting a duplicate email.

Possibly…but my opinion is that if that is the worst thing that happens in their day, they are having a good one. Give me multiple emails over being in Beirut right now :o(

Have you come across this issue before and do you have any suggestions to get around it?

As I said, I haven’t seen this before. Check with your host about rate limiting. I might have to consider doing something like only sending 50 at a time. Or some other idea you or I or someone can think of.

PS I think it would be useful to allow sorting on fields like Status and allow the user to change the number of records display on a page

I agree. I am surprised I haven’t added it before ?? I’ll get to that when I can.
