    Hi there GB team,

I’ve updated to WordPress 5.7 and now I can’t seem to save any posts that use resuable blocks (which are heavy with GB components). If I’ve used a reusable block as a template in a new post, then hit save, I get no error and it looks like it has saved but none of the changes actually save. Also, in some cases, some of the changes have instead overwritten the reusable block template. I’ve tried creating a test post without using resuable blocks and that seems to save without any issues.

Any ideas around what might be causing this? I have tried to go into “manage resuable blocks” and resave one of the templates (which solved the last problem I had with reusable blocks) but this doesn’t seem to solve the problem.

Many thanks in advance for any thoughts.

Same problem on website newsauto.it We hope for a WordPress update on this issue.
You cannot work by duplicating old blocks because the problem of doing damage blocks is when opening an old post.
    Waiting for updates WORDPRESS!!

Hi everyone (including @hmnvtn given you had the same issue)

Sorry to continue this thread here as I know this is not a GB or GP issue but seems to be the same thing has happend with v5.7.1 and now can no longer “convert to regular blocks” so cannot easily save a completely new resuable block to replace the old.

I’ve also tried creating a completely new reusable clock from scratch and that too doesn’t work – i.e. cannot save changes.

This doesn’t apply to a post that doesn’t have any reusable blocks – these simple posts save just fine so definately an issue with reusable blocks.

Has anyone else seen this yet / know how to fix?

    Many thanks,
    Joy

There is no longer an option to “convert to regular block.” Even when I create a new block, and don’t save it as a reusable block, if it’s similar to a reuasable block, it changes all of them in other posts! I’ve spent hours going through old posts and fixing this!

Today, I created a new heading block with H2 “Tamara Talks – Is Beef Healthy?”. I used to insert “Tamara Talks – Recipe Inspiration” and click “convert to regular block.” I could then edit the text. That worked great. Now, I get asked if I want to save the change to the “Talks” block. If I don’t save the changes, I lost my edits. If I do save the changes, it changes the reusable block in all the other posts! Even if it’s a dessert!!! This isn’t okay! This wasn’t even using a reusable block!!! I created a heading with the text I wanted!!! OMG. WordPress, you need to do better!!!
