Issue with rewrite rules

I plan to spend some time this weekend debugging why the attachment post type is being a creeper on our code.

Received the email.

Not sure any more if the “attachment” bit is an issue, as I saw other plugins that register CPTs have the same thing in their rewrite rules. I’ve also seen rewrite rule flushing fix the initial issue, and I believe even 0.9.5 and earlier would start out with that before a flush.

just a reminder that flushing the permalinks does not resolve the issue for me on 3 sites.

kaizendo, you shouldn’t be needing to touch the rewrite API here, flushing the rewrite rules is as easy as visiting the permalinks page, and everything happens in the background.

jynk, it’s primary regarding the fact that it’s thinking the post type post slug is an attachment. That part should be cleared up after the flush. If it’s still happening for you after that, then I’m irritated at the continued issue ??
