First, let me say I looked at several plug-ins for this purpose, and yours was easily the best I found, still I had to do a little manual adjustment to account for one issue:

A relatively recent WordPress update added a feature that scales down large images, creating filename-scaled.jpg for each. You can read more about this feature here, in case you weren’t aware of it:

Introducing handling of big images in WordPress 5.3

Your plug-in doesn’t seem to handle this, and will show the full-size image as missing a database entry. But attempting to add it, only creates a second entry for the -scaled file, further confusing things.

Hey @nudeworldorder, I wasn’t aware of it. I’d have to check it out and update the plugin to handle this.

I’ll update this topic when I make that improvement.

    Thanks for letting me know.

Hi @nudeworldorder, I just pushed a new 1.1.8 version which should handle those “-scaled” files.

Please let me know if it helped.

    Thanks

Seeing as I already got it working (with a little manual intervention, as above) I’m not sure I’m really in a position to test out the fix anymore. But thank you for addressing this, I’m sure it will come in handy for others.

Oh ok, I see. I’m glad you were able to find a solution.
    Closing this topic then.
