    Hi everybody,

I had a different product when I first built my website, so the site title and description were different.

I tried to look on different places to resolve my issue, but I really don’t see where it comes from.

    – My site title and site description in google is not the same as my source code, or even as in my Yoast SEO plugin.

I tried to run an health check in troubleshooting mode, to check my website source code with deactivated plugins, and I ve got the good title and description in my source code.

So I really don’t see nowhere in my settings where is it.

if someone could help me I would be glad.

    Thank you

  • You’ll probably need to use the webmaster tools for the search engine giving you problems to set or change that entry once the search engine accepts an initial name or title.

I imagine the Search Engines are very stingy with those changes else their data would become moving targets as Tuesday’s cooking site becomes Friday’s bowling league and Sunday’s Ice Cream Social with Bingo.

Sooner or later it will probably change on its own but manipulating that data yourself will save your visitors much confusion.

Like what @jnashhawkins has mentioned, you would need to login (or create one if you don’t have) to google webmaster console and ask Google to reindex your website then you will see the new title. Hope this helps.

Thank you very much for your answers.

I found my issue, it was related to my “coming soon mode” plugin, that was over-riding my initial title.

I found it while making some check with the google search console on my adresses, so it’s thanks to you.

    Have a good one
