This really isn’t an issue with this plugin.
We use WordPress functionality to enable registrations.
If you are running single site installation, please go into your WordPress Dashboard, Settings, General – and check the box that says “Anyone can register”. Then you will want to scroll down and save your settings.
OR
If you are using multisite installation, please go to your WordPress Network Dashboard, Network Settings and make the appropriate selection where it says “Allow new registrations”. Then scroll down and save your settings.
That should cover the issue you are having.
