Issue with social footer

Hello,

I’m building my portfolio site and I have an issue with the social footer. I would like to have some links to social networks on that position and I don’t know how to display some icons with those links. I tried creating a menu and filling the custom links with the URLs but it doesn′t seem to work, it only displays the name tags with the links.
