• Hello,
I am using an old version of Sydney (v 1.5.3). Updating to latest version (2.1.7) will cause some parts are missing on the page. So I have downgraded back to 1.5.3

I am using Sydney module “Sydney FP: Mitarbeiter” to show team members/employees on the page. Now I have to add new members. But I can’t find where to edit. The module says I have to add members/employees at dashboard. But I can’t find…

In Dashboard there is a message:
“This theme recommends the following plugin: Sydney Toolbox – custom posts and fields for the Sydney theme”

I think this would solve the issue with the missing part I have written above.

    Issue:
If I install the Sydney Toolbox, the site will crash, and I have to remove the toolbox plugin on FTP.

=> can’t update theme => missing parts on site
=> can’t install toolbox with sydney 1.5.3 => site will crash
=> do nothing and stay at 1.5.3 without toolbox => no oportunity to edit content for “Sydney FP: Mitarbeiter”.

    Need your support, please.

    Kind regards,
    Bernhard

  • Hi Benhard,

I am sorry for the delay.

If you can access your site’s admin area, before updating, please try to disable Sydney Toolbox, then re-enable it when you have the latest theme is active.

You can also disabling the plugin from FTP by deleting its folder in wp-content/plugins directory if you can’t access your site’s admin area.

Custom post types (including Employees) are only visible when you have Site Origin plugin is active.

Hope this reply helps. Thank you!
