    Hello,

    I recently updated UM to the 2.4.0 version (it was mentionned that this was a major update). However I experienced some issue during the process where the UM plugin deleted itself from the website. It seems that there was a problem with the member directory that couldn’t be modified…even though all access and permissions are given.

    I was able to reinstall the plugin which then was the 2.4.0 version and everything seemed to work again. The database was retrieved but to its 2.3.0 version.

    I keep seeing a warning from the plugin asking me to update the database to make sure that the plugin can work properly.

    I don’t want the same issue to happen again obviously, so I would like to know what could have caused it and how to solve the issue. Also, I can see that UM has a new version available, but should I fix the database version first to avoid any other bugs?

    Hello @bcath96

    We recommend you update the database. I am not sure what was the issue but if you turn on debug mode (edit wp-config.php file and set WP_DEBUG to true) you might see some message for the error.
