Hi their

I am having an issue with uploading .PNG files.
Every-time i attempt to upload a .png file i receive a .HTTP error.
I went ahead and disabled your plugin, and the issue stopped.
I am using the latest version of your plugin.
I also disabled the ‘enable PNG to JPG conversion’ but the issue still persists. Also disabled the lossy png conversion. the issue continued.
the issue appears to be coming from the plugin itself.

I am using BJ lazy load plugin, could this possibly conflict with your plugin ?

Looks like it is a combination of two factors. First, PNG images are much slower than others to optimize, so it isn’t uncommon to have that sort of issue. That is made worse by the fact that WordPress is generating 17 resizes per upload, and each of those need to be optimized too.

There are two things I would recommend:
1. look through the resize list and see if there are any that you aren’t using. If you don’t know, or don’t know how to find out, then don’t worry about it. It isn’t worth messing up if you’re not sure.

2. Turn on deferred optimization.

Thanks, I went ahead and turned on Deferred optimization and that seemed to do the trick!
I am little confused as to what this option does, could you clarify ?
Now that everything is working can i enable PNG to JPG conversion ?

You probably could, but I’d keep an eye on your images to make sure they are still being optimized.
What that option does is it delays the optimization during upload and simply adds the image into a queue. The optimization will then be triggered within an hour by wp_cron. I don’t know that PNG to JPG would cause too much extra optimization time, but JPG to PNG definitely causes huge delays, FYI.
