I’m a premium subscriber but I had to deactivate the Mailpoet plugin for my website to work.

When I try to update the regular Mailpoet plugin, I get a “critical error” that shows on every post of my website.

    Here’s what WPengine support said:

I believe that the plugin would have made that folder automatically but the issue is here that it is not possible to write to the wp-content/uploads directory as of January of this year

In order for this plugin to work successfully you would need to move this cache path outside of the wp-content/uploads directory then define that path elsewhere
    possibly in the wp-config.php
    or another configuration file

Is Mailpoet trying to write to wp-content/uploads and is that why it causes my website to break?
