Issues Adding Product – Critical Error

It will be great if you could share your current System Status Report. You can get it by navigating to the WooCommerce / Status section of your site. Once there, click on the Get system report button and then copy it by clicking on the Copy for support button. Then paste it here in a comment.

The System Status Report will give us a snapshot of your site and that should help us spot anything odd.

To clarify, you only get that error when you try to add new products? Does the same thing happen when you try to add a new post or page?

Thanks for getting back to me. Yes to clarify, originally I was getting the error for both adding product AND trying to deactivate any of my plugins. So I deleted all plugins one by one through my control panel. This did not fix the issue so I removed and wordpress and did a fresh install. the only plugin i have now is woocommerce. I am getting the error when trying to add products now. Here is my status report:

I’m also having this exact same problem. Whenever I try to add or edit a product, it times out and either says max execution time reached, 504 error or one about /wp-includes/Requests/Transport/cURL.php

I’ve disabled all plugins except WC and switched to the default Twenty Twenty-One theme.

No error when adding a new post or page for me. Only products this causes issues with.

+1 Exact same issue, I’ve eliminated all plugins, custom code, themes, etc. I’ve been bashing my head against this for 2 days now. I also experience the same behavior when trying to activate/deactivate plugins, though it seems more random. This occurs with the last 2 versions of Woo. Any help is appreciated!

The only output in the WC fatal error logs was generic timeout, so no help there. I extended timeout to 120sec and still no joy. Stack trace just shows connection staying alive until timeout.

Hi! Can you try adding this filter to your site and seeing if that fixes this issue?

This appears to be result of a known issue that should be fixed in the next release of WooCommerce, but the above filter should fix your issues until then and allow you to edit and create products.

@crazywickedawesome, thanks I can confirm that the filter as posted by @ck-macleod in another thread, did indeed correct the saving/updating. Looking forward to the official patch.
