• I’ve installed the Two Factor Authentication For WooCommerce as well as the required Two Factor Authentication Plugin for it work properly, however now it will not let me login to the backend wordpress site i’m developing. This may be due in part to not having my email server settings implemented to send the two factor auth code through email. Is there a way I can override these plugins and be able to login into my backend wordpress site to fix the email settings and then be able to re-enable them.

    Thanks,

    Brad

  • Hi,
    I have the exact same problem. I installed the two factor plug in and then I logged out to try it out and then I have been logged out. Even resetting password’s not working.
    Did you solve it? @baytes?

    @sidsambu,

    Yes I had to go into the folders and files for the plugins and delete them completely them clear the cache and try it again to be able to log back into the site. I ended up scrapping the plugins and not using them after this happened, too much of a headache. I havent found (or looked for that matter) for another plugin/option that will give the same functionality.

    Hope this helps!

    Hey Brad,
    I found that the problem was this plug in and there isn’t another way to do it but go into the folders. But you could have saved the other good plug ins by following the process below.
    I found a link: https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-deactivate-all-plugins-when-not-able-to-access-wp-admin/
    This plug in is a good idea but needs work…
    Thanks Brad!

    Hi, I had no issues with this plugin, it works. BUT you first need to set the correct email address for admin in the WP settings. That email is used to send a code. When you want to login, go to login panel and login, then check your email and insert the code. My email arrived within seconds.
    OK, now what if you get locked out?
    I always set up an FTP access for each site I have. Then simply go to your FTP, go to your wp-content>>plugins and look for the two-factor-auth plugin. RENAME it in your FTP panel.
    Then go back to your website login and refresh the page. Your login will work as usual without the two factor auth…
    Most 2 factor apps work that wy so make sure to test your emails first… good luck and trust no one will attempt to hack your site.
    Mine was hacked a few times before I used two factor auth and NINJA Firewall, also install WORDFENCE its triple protection..
