• I uninstalled wp-supercache yesterday as it got hung-up and was not caching pages. I also adjusted .htaccess. Later I reinstalled and everything, and it was fine until this morning when the main page was showing a 404 error.

When I attempted to log into the admin panel I received a 404 error for it also.

Now, nothing seems to be working.

The host rolled everything back and and it worked for about 5 minutes, (pages, theme, etc) until I attempted to access the admin panel and again, no access. It also reverted to showing the posts but no theme. WordPress is running in a sub-folder so I know that may be part of the issue, but I can’t figure out why it worked for a couple of minutes and then stopped.

Although the login page comes up, I get a 404 error when attempting to login

Any assistance would be appreciated. nationalterroralert.com

We rolled it back again and the site is up, now the only remaining issue is i can’t access any of the admin pages. When I attempt to login I get to a plain version of the login screen and then when I supply credentials I get a 404 error after it redirects with reauth=1 in the url.

I’ve also had problems after uninstalling wp-super-cache today.
All pages except the homepage returned a 404.
    Somehow it removes

    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /

from the first lines after # BEGIN WordPress in .htaccess
