  • Allen,

I also have the problem that “feed-2-post” stopped working at the exact moment that I upgraded to 3.9. I’ve uninstalled WP RSS Multi Importer, it’s mysql database entries, reinstalled and only put several verified valid rss feeds back in the list and still no success. The server is in-house running Fedora 20.

    Shortcodes work.

I’ve used both examples (using my site’s address of course):
    https://www.mywpsite.com?rssmi_feedID=2,6,7
    https://www.mywpsite.com?rssmi_catID=1,2
Both return “success”, but no items were posted.

I press the “Click To Fetch Feeds Now” button and receive also “There were no new feed items to add.”

If there is anything I can do to assist you or test, please let me know.

Thank you and Happy Easter to you.

Well well … after 1 000 000 tests, reinstalling and many other things i got my site upp and running with the plugin HOWEVER … i am back on WP 3.8.3 since it was impossible for me to get it running on 3.9.

I am still trying to find out what’s wrong but for now i leave my site https://www.redhawkssupport.se running with WP 3.8.3 and plugin version 2.67.4.

So, Allen … keep up the good work with plugin!

    Hello Allen,

I’m having the exact same issue reported by @redhawkssupport and @garystriplett.

I have tested a clean install of both WordPress 3.8.3 and 3.9. In the former, the plugin works 100%. In the latter, only the shortcode function works, while the feed-to-post function does not. I’m using the same feed in both tests.

Please have a deeper look into this. I am also trying to find what could be the cause, but so far I’m stuck with using WP 3.8.3 since I need feed-to-post working.

Apart from that, it’s a great plugin and I’ll keep using it.

    Cheers

    Same here. Thank you!

Have the same issue. I’m running WP 3.9. Installed the plugin, set up everything for Feed-to-Post and clicked Fetch to test. It fetched some articles. But after some change on the website I decided to remove all the fetched posts (emptied trash too).

But after clicking Fetch again nothing happens. No posts. I have 60 feeds set up so there must be content.

It’s been over 24 hours with no posts. Checked cron jobs with Cron View too. Nothing suspicious so I’m not sure what else I can do. I need this thing to work.

    Hi system0102!

I do not claim to have the ultimate solution but i did as follow:

    • backup db and all other stuff
    • went back to wp 3.8.3
    • installed db and all other stuff
    • sat down and await Allen’s pro solution ??

That worked for me and my site https://www.redhawkssupport.se is up and running with new design and also maximized use of Allen’s plugin.

I think ?? and hope that Allen is going to spend the weekend finding out what’s wrong ??

That’s what i would recommend you to do – as written, it worked for me. I also created a sub domain that i from now on use to test new plugin and all other stuff i like to add BEFORE adding them to the main site so i don’t have to spend hours fixing things just becouse i try to be a man and refuse to backup stuff ;).

Hello system0102 and dncreative….can you give me an RSS feed that doesn’t appear to be working for you…I have wp 3.9 running with the plugin and have found no problems…I need to reproduce the problem in order to fix it.

    Update

I have now tested with 40 different rss-feeds on 3.8.3 and 3.9 and the results are the same.

All works 100 % on 3.8.3 (feed to post and shortcode) but switching to 3.9 SHORTCODE works 100 % but FEED TO POST does not.

I have tested on different servers, contacted tech-people on 3 different host where one is a friend of mine and he has tested at HOST-END and get the same result as i do.

As told before i have also set up to new subdomains, one with 3.9 and one with 3.8.3 and the results are as above.

Allen, don’t get me wrong but since more users report this issue i doubt it’s related to feeds, correct me if i’m wrong. Remember, SHORTCODE works, FEED TO POST does not.

    Keep up the good work!

i am running it on 3.9 as well and it is not working.
thought it might be the RSS feed, but i tested it on
    https://www.simplepie.org/demo
    and it worked perfectly.

something seems to be wrong with the plugin

For what it’s worth: it’s not working on any of my 3.9 sites either. No feeds are pulled in, not manually nor cron based.

    Hi All
I’m having problems figuring out what is happening…as you can see in this movie, I’m running the plugin on WP 3.9 on my hostgator account, checking an RSS feed from CNN every 10 minutes (using the feed to post) and getting all the posts coming just fine.

If someone wants to give me their login credentials, I might see if there is problem with your settings.

    Allen,

I would be happy to help you with admin access.

    Allen!
I gave you login credentials to both my subdomains a while ago, one with 3.8.3 installed and the other with 3.9 and as far as i can see you did log in but you didn’t gave any feedback.

Maybe Allen is working on a fix.
Knowing his support track record from the past, it is likely.

I found that on my site the problem was a plug-in conflict: the WP-Piwik plug-in seems incompatible with RSS Multi-Importer.
