  • i dont have this plugin but still have the problem

@timoxxl: Then please post your own topic as this topic has nothing to do with your issue.

Hi Allen, I just love the idea of your plugin and I just installed it on WP 3.9 – Checked and re-checked all my settings installed and re-installed plugin, deactivated and reactivated and everything else everyone here has suggested and when I click the manually the “click to fetch feeds now button” NOTHING, I mean NOTHING happens…I don’t know what is wrong, but I would be happy to send you my login info. Use: [email protected] , or if you have found the solution, Please let me know, as I have spent hours working on this… Thanks, Larrynew

Same problem as the above users. WP 3.9. Latest plugin version. Feed to post doesn’t seem to work.

Realised that this is what I have as well (should have read more threads before posting) : https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/feed-to-post-not-updating?replies=1

Mine is in a subdomain if that is any help? .. Currently trying rolling back versions to see if it works then.

Rolled back my WordPress version, still not working. When I press the CLICK TO GET FEEDS NOW button I get this error after a while :
Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in \httpdocs\frontpage\wp-includes\SimplePie\File.php on line 116

Could this be a file permission thing? As it may be a problem with my host?

Larrynew – just sent you an email …also, Mudstacle – that is a simplepie error that my plugin uses to get and parse the feeds…if your host doesn’t allow getting the feeds (php has an permission for fopen that must be ON to allow feeds to come in via the server).

also, in what way is the WP-Piwik plugin in conflict…are you getting an error message or something?

    Hi All
Try using this file and see if this fixes your problem (turns out WP deprecated a function in 3.9 and this may be the problem)

    https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3132388/pluginfiles/import_posts.php

Where are we supposed to put that code?

Seems to work so far. Linux CRON does the job. Pressing the “update” button gives no feedback.

Hi Paul…that file is to replace the entire contents of the import_posts.php.
Gary, not sure why the Fetch Feeds Now (I think what you mean by the update button) is giving feedback unless the ajax isn’t working on your site.

Hi Allen, I tried to change the entire file to the new one you suggested, and no change… I went into the plugin editor: Editing wp-rss-multi-importer/inc/import_posts.php (inactive) – Nothing changed, but I noticed it says inactive… How can I activate??? I think the problem lies there??? When I click to fetch feeds now button NOTHING HAPPENS! still, I have restored the file and wondering what I can try next??? Also I find no php.ini file, and the simple pie is working with another plugin I use WP-o-matic, but I prefer yours if I can get it to work! Thank you for your responses Larrynew

oftentimes it says inactive, when in fact it is active…I wouldn’t pay too much attention to that. As I’ve said, this problem isn’t happening on any of my servers so the only way I can possibly tell what’s going on is for you to give me access to your admin.

I will be happy to give you access, how would I do that securely???

Hi Allen, You could send an email to [email protected] and I will send you my access… Sorry for the previous post… I just woke up!!!
