I recently switched hosting companies, and i now use Podbean. With my old hosting company, it was easy to import a podcast into a post using powerpress. I would simply add the URL that contains the mp3 file in the box under my editing screen.

When I try to do the same thing with podbean, I keep getting Forbidden 403. I was able to “embed the code” inside my post manually, but when I don’t use powerpress, my podcast is not playable from the homepage the way it was on my old service.

    I hope this makes sense?

Can you clarify, are you moving from PowerPress to PodBean? If so, you may want to contact PodBean for assistance.

If you are moving from PodBean to WordPress, then this is the right place. We just added a feed import option to PowerPress that makes this importing very simple.

    I have the same issue.
The episode is on Podbean and I try to use the mp3 url in Powerpress.
When I click verify it shows “The requested URL returned error: 403 Forbidden”
The episode is live on podbean.
It worked before and now I have this error for just one episode of the 6 uploads so far.

ernohannink, can you reply with the media URL from PodBean so we can test?

Just to follow up, we found that PodBean was blocking the WordPress user agent. We’ve added new code to PowerPress to get around this problem, importing from PodBean should no longer be an issue.
