• I noticed in an older post just now that when the images in my blog posts have a caption on them, coding comes up above the image and after the caption in the published post.

    [caption id="attachment_1705" align="alignnone" width="960"]
[Imagine the image would be here]
    “sample text”[/caption]

Any ideas or solutions to this issue would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. Idk if this person’s problem/solution is relevant to my problem, but it was the closest thing I could find to my problem in a quick google search. https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/71093/caption-shortcodes-not-including-caption-as-attribute

  • Hello dyer0015,

First make sure this is not a plugin issue.
If you’re using a child theme, please update template files.

Could you provide us with a link so we can check it out?

    Hi,

Caption shortcode is generated by WordPress media manager. This is not a theme related issue.
I am able to insert an image with caption and it works properly in all the post types ( that I had tested ) in Hueman Theme.

    Please see my screen-cast.

As mentioned by fadingmusic, there could be a plugin conflict on your website or a custom code in your child theme that needs update.

Or, you can try removing your caption and image and re-insert it again.

    Thank you
