Issues updating WPBakery Page Builder

  • I am currently managing a site that I inherited from another web developer. The site has managed wordpress hosting through GoDaddy. The issue is that I would like to update to the newest WP Version 8.1 (currently running 7.4.33.4) but when I do it the site admin panel cannot be accessed. This is a problem since I cannot access the page to update WPBakery Page builder which is what Godaddy is telling me is causing this admin panel lockout.

    WPBakery cannot be updated unless I update the WP Version.

    Thoughts anyone?

    For the WordPress commercial products, it’s best to reach out to their own support forums. I recommend contacting WPbakery Support team, so their support community can help you better with this.

    The latest WP version is currently 6.4.2. Version 8.1 likely refers to your server’s PHP version. I recommend you first revert back to PHP 7.4.33.4. Then you should be able to update both WP and WPBakery to the latest versions. With the latest versions in place, you should then be able to update PHP back to 8.1
