issues while removing "posted by admin" text

  • Hi, I was trying to remove posted by admin from a website. I located the file which contains that info and commented out <!–<span class=”author” >Posted by <?php the_author_posts_link(); ?> in <?php the_category(” , “); ?> </span>–> this code but the posed by admin was still there. Then i downloaded that file onto my pc and edited it and removed this code and uploaded to server but the posted by admin still exists. The weird thing is that i removed that code but the code still displays in the firebug.

    must have been the wrong file;
    keep looking.

    what theme are you using?

    Its a video theme from templatic. I have looked up in all theme files. deleted browser cache also but doesn’t work.
