Issues with 1st time Purchase Coupon

    Hi there,

    I recently purchased your refer a friend plugin hoping it would be a solution to a referral program I’ve been wanting to do. One of the major reasons on purchasing the premium version is to give the “friend” a discount on their first purchase. I see that is an option, but I have to generate a coupon on the woocommerce store. This is not a good fix, because if someone decides to post about the coupon you can still apply it.

    Example:
    1. I refer a my website to friend using my referral link.
    2. Friend notices the coupon at check out and decides to just post that on facebook or some sort of coupon website even.
    3. Everyone now can use the 1st time purchase coupon without necessarily being referred by a specific customer.

    Is this something that can be fixed? I have turned on to only allow the 1st time coupon once per user, but that doesn’t prevent people logging out or the coupon becoming common knowledge.

    Well it seems to be working now, sorry for the confusion. Not sure if it works by default or just because I got a new customer verification plug in.

    Quick somewhat related question though. If an existing customer uses the link they will still get the coupon. Is there a way to turn that off? I want this plugin to really just be for new customers being brought in through referals, no existing customers abusing the system.

    thanks for the premium purchase!

    Regarding code for first time customer purchases. That coupon is automatically applied to the cart, but the code itself is not visible to anyone except the admin who created them, so its not possible for someone to share it or use it manually. So you dont need to worry about that part. But you can also change it every now and then, just the coupon code, altho again that’s not really necessary.

    Also, its not possible for existing customer to use guest coupons. On the cart itself, it will say that coupon is applied, but during checkout the coupon gets removed if user is logged in or gets logged in. I did that security check during checkout because otherwise user could be logged out, add products then login during checkout and use the coupon. Ill see to remove it during cart as well if that creates a confusion.
