Issues with ACF PRO

  • Hello,

    I have a WP backend built with ACF pro; however when polylang is installed, there was no “Fields groups” checkbox under custom post field in the synchronize section in settings to select.
    In pages, when we are modifying the French language for example, it is overwriting the English one.
    I have referred to https://polylang.pro/doc/working-with-acf-pro/#activate-custom-fields-synchronization but with no luck.

    Another point is when we enable the latest jQuery (3.5), then the flags dropdown doesn’t work anymore and the behavior become weird in everything related to polylang

    WP Version 5.5.3
    Advanced Custom Fields PRO Version 5.9.3
    Polylang Version 2.8.4

    I have solved the issue disabling the Field Groups setting (checkbox) in Polylang settings->Custom Post Types.

    Hello,

    1. The compatibility with ACF Pro is included in Polylang Pro, not in Polylang, as explained in the doc you are pointing to.

    2. The second issue is known and related to the upcoming WP 5.6 and is already fixed in the development version available on GitHub. Feel free to test it: https://github.com/polylang/polylang
