Issues with back end

  • Hope someone can help.

    We are experiencing issues mainly with the administrative side of WP. Each time we login, post, or pretty much anything else, it seems to have a long load time. It sometimes happens on the front end but all the time on the backend.

    I have contributed this to an issue with the database server, but every time I talk to the host, all I ever get is nothing is wrong with the server. Am I going about this the wrong way and looking at the wrong issue? Any help would be great.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress?

    – increasing the memory available to PHP?
