No problem. Ah yeah, gotcha. We did leave a message on the connection status when trying to retrieve an access token. Unfortunately, Twitter has removed the option for us to create a free feed anymore. Instead, they want to charge a $100 dollars minimum a month just to connect now via the API to read Tweets. Ridiculous, I know.
In the coming week we will be modifying the plugin to allow you to add your own keys should you not mind paying the fee, however, at this very moment, you are correct that making a connection is not possible. Hoping you reconsider your review, we did have a good run at offering the Twitter Feed for over 10 years with no issues.
