Issues with CVG Ver 1.8

ALTER TABLE 'wp_cvg_videos' ADD 'exclude' tinyint(5) NOT NULL DEFAULT '0' AFTER 'video_type';

ALTER TABLE 'wp_cvg_videos' MODIFY 'video_title' medium text;

From analysis, i figured out that the issue is due to improper activation of plugin.

Once plugin upgrade is done through admin panel, usually plugin gets reactivated after downloading the new version. At times, it does not get activated and asks the user to activate the plugin from Plugin section manually. The issue happens when the latter happens.

I will check into its details and provide a fix for this soon. Thanks everyone for helping me find out the real issue.

The best way to understand it is just to go to my website (click)
My first page on the blog is a summery off all my lastest posts- after I installed CVG my first page is cover with this: [cvg-video videoId=’18’ width=’640′ height=’360′ /] and all the content is gone.
I deleted CVG and the problem still remains
I hope you can understand the issue I’m facing

The shortcode for CVG doesn’t appear in correct format.

Deactivating the plugin will remove the short code functionality. Not sure what you mean by content is missing.

I had the same problem. Neither the widget nor the showcase links were working.
I uninstalled and deleted the plug-in.
I run back-ups of the entire wp database daily so didn’t bother to specifically back-up the video files as I’ve only done a couple of entries today, one of which was the note to say the videos weren’t working!
I re-installed the CVG plug-in.
Then I restored my wordpress database back-up via my cPanel.
Now everything is working fine and I just had to re-enter the one entry I did earlier today.

You had the same problem means? Were your all posts deleted by activating CVG?

I’m having a problem where there is audio only but no video. I’ve tried with both .m4v & .mp4

Both videos were tested on my local computer & video works. I downloaded the file from the server to check if it was somehow corrupted, but it worked fine.

The video files should be in proper encoded format. Playing the video files in computer and using flash player is different.

I know that there is a difference between playing locally vs. online. I have also seen videos that were uploaded (playing prior to upload) somehow getting corrupted, and after downloading to test they don’t play. I put this piece in as it was part of the troubleshooting I went through.

The problem is that the videos ARE in the right format, but not working in your plugin.

Is there a previous version of your plugin available, and does it work with WP 3.5?

Please check on Developers tab for other version of CVG.

The plugin does not alert video file’s settings.
