I had automatic updates enabled for WordPress plugins. Fluent Forms updated to version 5.0.1 and as a result, I had to update Fluent Forms Pro Add On to version 5.0.0.

These updates totally broke all my forms. Custom JS stopped working and users were unable to submit any forms. I was forced to disable automatic updates and downgrade Fluent Forms and Pro Add On to version 4.3.25 & 4.3.23 respectively to get everything back to working again.

For the past few days, I was also facing a few issues with the old version not sending some email notifications. Some entries were randomly missed out. I am using FluentSMTP and tried changing the email provider, using HTTP protocol (Gmail API) instead of SMTP, adding a email fallback connection, adding a server-side cron job etc. However, nothing has helped. For entries missed out, both the General submission log and the API Calls submission log are not generated.

I was perfectly happy with the plugin and support thus far. Not sure what’s going wrong.

    Could you please urgently investigate?

    Thanks

    Hi @berdeks,

Sorry for the inconvenience. We will release another update today that will fix the custom JS issue.

Regarding the email notification issue, can you please share a screenshot of failed email log from FluentSMTP or any error messages that you are seeing so we can have a better understanding of the issue.

    Thank you!

    Hi Tahmid,

Thanks for the quick response. It is this level of support that makes this plugin awesome. I am hoping that today’s update will fix all issues such as users unable to submit a form.

As mentioned previously, for email notifications, both the General submission log and the API Calls submission log are not generated at all. No failed log, no success log. There’s nothing there. It is happening for random entries at random times. Fluent Forms triggers notifications for say 4 out of 5 but fails for 1. I had shared screenshots with the support team and the last I heard from them is that they have taken up this issue with the development team.

Only reasons for posting on this forum is to alert other users about issues with the latest update and possibly to invite your urgent attention.

    Thanks once again.

    Hi @berdeks,

We have released an update fixing all the known issues with the latest version so you can test it out and let us know if you still find any issues.

    Thank you!

Same here and after update to 5.02 it still doesn’t show anything on the mail notification tab but it still send the notification.

The main problem is that i found the tab empty and i’ve set again the notification so now i can’t still see both and my form is sending two identical message at any submission.

I’ve also tried to switch back to the old version with no luck.

    Please fix it ASAP!!

After update please make sure you clear the cache and hard reload the browser tab. Maybe your browser is loading the OLD js files.

Tried on different browser and different laptop

I have the latest version of all your plugin

I’ve tried to deactivate everything apart your plugin and the theme plugin and also tried on a different theme with no luck.

Would you please check if there has any console error on your browser? Maybe it’s a plugin conflict or something. You may also submit a support ticket to our support portal where one of our support engineers can take a look closely. https://wpmanageninja.com/account/dashboard/

No Conflict cause i’ve switched off everything.

    Here the console error.

I’ve deleted the additional notification from the database.

The problem right now it’s only in the backend.

I’ll open a support ticket as soon as I find which account I’ve used for that license (I have many clients account).

I can confirm that the update has fixed issues and the custom JS is now working.

For email notifications, all my 3 test entries worked. However, as I said earlier, email notifications are not triggered for random entries at random times. I will closely monitor the notifications and report any issues to the support team.

    Thanks
