Issues with gallery and slideshow

host InMotionI’m having multiple issues with galleries and slideshows:
If I choose the Basic ImageBrowser option, I get a blank page when I go to the page.
If I try to resize the thumbs to make them bigger (ex. 400×300), they either don’t resize or I get the same blank page.
I’m also getting blank pages or just image icons rather than images with at least two galleries I created in the past – the pics were re-sized in those.
When I try to show one of the above as a slideshow, it shows them in random order even though random is checked ‘no’ and I ordered the gallery by image title. That s/s is a progression of a race, so important to be in the right order!
I have deactivated almost all of my other plug-ins just to get NextGen to work. Deactivating all of them does not fix these problems.
