Have a new install of MailPoet and have activated V2 Visible and have tried V2 Invisible and neither seem to work. Any known issues or work arounds?

I’ve done more testing and have had no success in getting reCAPTCHA V2 (visible or invisible) to work with MailPoet.

If you use the built in CAPTCH is it possible to customize the page that is displayed for the challenge? Currently it appears to embed itself in the default blog post. https://prnt.sc/TiVR1zZWmDMq

I am using WP Rocket for caching and have disabled it as well and same issue. https://prnt.sc/2zz0Et4k-S5X

    Hi there @westcan,

If you use the built in MailPoet captcha, there is no way with the standard MailPoet interface to customize that page. Customizations to (say) move the location of the captcha image or change colours / fonts are likely possible with custom CSS added to your theme, but this would be outside the scope of what we could provide; we’d recommend reaching out to a developer for assistance if you wish to customize this page.

For the Google captchas, we have no known bugs or known issues that would result in the “Please check the CAPTCHA” error message, and we have not had any other reports. I tested it out on my test site and all was well, implying that it is not a bug.

So, it is likely something specific to your website setup or hosting. Do you have any security plugins that might be blocking the captcha call? You could check the console for errors when submitting the form with Google captcha as this might show any blockages or files that are inaccessible due to security issues.

Failing that, we’d recommend a full conflict test, which involves:

    • deactivating all plugins
    • changing temporarily to a default theme such as Twenty Twenty
    • activating only MailPoet
    • Testing the form with Google V2 captcha
    • assuming that works, restore your theme and test again, then restore other plugins one at a time and test each time to find the source of the conflict

If a conflict test shows this is reproduceable with only MailPoet active, and you have reviewed all steps here, then please do let us know.
