    Hello:

I have a problem ne a website with cookie settings. I have set up Google Tag Manager via Complianz, and I have configured the plugin as I have configured it before for many other websites. However, here I find that the website loads the ANalytcis cookies before they are accepted. And if I accept them, it loads several other cookies, including those from Complianz, but it loads the Analytics cookies as soon as I click anywhere on the website, without waiting for acceptance.

    Regards

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @ricardorvm,

You can fire the tags in your GTM container based on the obtained consent in Complianz (instead of a firing trigger such as “All Pages”, which doesn’t wait for consent).

An easy way to start is by importing the Complianz triggers in GTM, by following these instructions: https://complianz.io/importing-tag-manager-container/

And then you can create configurations such as in the below example, whereby my GA4 (Analytics) tag fires on Statistics consent, and the AW- conversion tag fires on Marketing consent.

    Kind regards, Jarno

    I’m sorry, but I didn’t understand anything.

    Hi @ricardorvm,

Where exactly are you getting stuck in the process? If you let me know which part requires a more detailed explanation, that would allow me to clarify.

To describe what’s currently happening: the plugin loads GTM on the website, so far so good. But you have certain Tags in your GTM Container that are loaded with a Firing Trigger which does not wait for consent in Complianz. As a result, these tags always fire; and therefore Analytics cookies are set without consent.

The solution would be to only fire these tags after consent is received in Complianz. And you can do that by using one of the Firing Triggers as mentioned above.

    Kind regards, Jarno
