Issues with LinkedIn shares – no image, no headline, captcha text

Having new issues with a long-running (10 years) website based on the WP platform when sharing to LinkedIn. Other social sites are fine.

If we paste the link to a new blog post on a LinkedIn post, the headline is replaced by the text “Captcha”. (Image here: https://caribbeancrmcentral.files.wordpress.com/2017/11/linkedin-share.jpg?w=568)

If we click the LinkedIn share button on our site, the LinkedIn share screen appears, but the image doesn’t show. (image here: https://caribbeancrmcentral.files.wordpress.com/2017/11/linkedin-share-3.jpg?w=641)

There doesn’t seem to be a pattern to this, as some posts older than LinkedIn’s 7-day cache still have the issue. Also, some new posts don’t have this issue at all, so it’s been hard to pin down the problem.

We have been trying to find a solution for the last two weeks, but had no luck. Any suggestions or direction would be greatly appreciated.

I am having exactly the same issue – even down to the fact that it shows captcha on some posts, and the text but no image on others. This has been happening for about 2-3 weeks or more. I can’t say when the first time it happened was, but we were able to post to linked in for several years. The website is not new and I can’t think of anything we have that is new (other than theme and plugin updates, and the newest WordPress version)
