When I attempted to redo my tag manager, I get this error: ‘redirect_uri’ mismatch
Can you explain this error and how it can be resolved? Thank you.

Thanks for opening a support topic. While I can’t be sure of the cause and how you’re encountering this during Tag Manager setup just yet if you’d like to share the following we can hopefully determine the cause:
- Can you share your Site Health information here or privately using this form so we can check your setup?
- Did you have Site Kit setup on another domain previously, migrate this site or restore from a backup?
- Are you asked to redo the Tag Manager setup or your Site Kit setup? If you could send a screenshot or share the full notice that may provide further insights. You can use a service such as Imgur or JumpShare to share any screenshot.

Many thanks for sharing. Unfortunately the information provided didn’t include your full Site Health information. Can you copy your fill site Health information (Tools > Site Health > info > Copy site info to clipboard) before pasting in there or using the same form previously used?
In addition to your Site Health information if you could also share whether you had Site Kit setup on another domain previously, or whether you migrated this site or restored from a backup?

It looks like you’re using other plugins with Google integration. Before suggesting any troubleshooting steps based on any possible plugin conflicts can you share the following information:
- When you click on the “Click here” link to reauthenticate your Google account (from your screenshot) are you able to successfully connect Site Kit?
- At what point do you encounter the “redirect_uri” page (ie. After clicking on a particular button during Tag Manager setup or at the setup stage when authentiating your Google account?
- On the page whereby you see the “redirect_uri” notice can you share the full URL from your browsers address bar?
If you’re unsure on any of the 3 questions above let me know and I’d be happy to provide further clarity. We need to know the above to determine the failure point from which I can provide further instructions.
When I click on “continue module setup, I am redirected to a page that reads:
“redirect_uri’ mismatch”
Many thanks for sharing the additional information Unfortunately the screenshot link leads to a 404 page. Regardless I don’t see any issue with the URL you shared. With that please follow the steps below, which will reset your site on the Site Kit service.
- Navigate to “Tools > Available Tools > Reset Site Kit“
- Setup the plugin once more.
- Connect all services
Note also that by resetting the plugin you’ll need to connect each service once more. While other users could also need to reconnect it looks like you’re the only connected user.
Let me know how you get on after performing a site reset. If you encounter any error messages or notices at any stage let me know at what point.
