Issues with plugins deactivating by themselves

    Hi,

    I have an issue with plugins deactivating automatically.
    In general it’s three plugins: WooCommerce, WooCommerce Admin and WooCommerce Pensopay.

    I have tried to search the forums, and found many solutions, I have tried several without any luck. I guess the issue is related to the WooCommerce plugins, and therefore, I have included the system report if you can find any obscurities? ??

    I have an issue with plugins deactivating automatically.
    In general it’s three plugins: WooCommerce, WooCommerce Admin and WooCommerce Pensopay.

    I wanted to make sure I understand what’s happening here. Are you saying that these three plugins deactivate on their own? That they just turn themselves off without any user action. If so that is an unusual situation.

    Check and see if there are any fatal error logs that line up with when these were deactivated. Go to WooCommerce > Status > Logs and use the drop-down there to select any fatal error logs that match up to the date when this happened. Then click on the “view” button to view it.

    Let us know what you find out.

    Hi,

    I will try to clarify.

    Upon entering the backend, several “warnings” appear:

    It also looks as if WC in inactive (no menus to the left)

    Bun when entering “Plugins” it suddenly look like they are active again:
    In plugin-site
    Nothing was done between the two images other than entering “Plugin-page”

    I’ve taken a screenshot of the errorlogs – I can’t seem to match events.

    Hey Rasmus,

    Thanks for getting back with me. Great details too!

    It’s still a very puzzling situation. Here’s what I would do. Set up a staging site if you don’t already have one. The WP Staging plugin can be used to create one for you.

    Once that’s ready, then switch to it. See if the staging site runs into the same problem with these plugins deactivating. If it does, then deactivate every plugin except for WooCommerce and switch to the Twenty Nineteen theme. See if WooCommerce remains active now. If it does, then switch back to your theme and try again.

    Keep on testing as you activate the other plugins. When this issue happens again, the last plugin activated is likely causing the problem.

    Let me know what you find out.

    Hi,

    I did as you’ve proposed, it’s a good guide, I have found the culprit: It was “Swift Performance Lite”

    What do you propose I do – contact the development team behind Swift performance or just find another better suited plugin?
    As you’ve might have noticed I’m not an experienced developer – just a regular guy trying to create a site, therefore. I’m not used to handling these types of issues.

    I’m glad to hear you were able to track down the plugin. If this was my site, I would reach out to the developers to let them know this happened. That way they can know about this issue and can hopefully fix it. They may already know of a way to keep it from happening.

    But if they aren’t able to do that, then you could look for a similar plugin. If we can help out at all, please let us know.
