• The recent total cache update has jacked up all my sites that use it. I’m using the thesis theme and none of the CSS is being applied whatsoever – the sites now look like a word file with just text.

Also I’m getting a bunch of red messages in the general settings of W3TC that read like:

Disk enhanced page caching is not active. To enable it, add the following rules into the server configuration file (/home5/achventu/public_html/pharmtechnicianclass/.htaccess) of the site above the WordPress directives . Or if permission allow this can be done automatically, by clicking here:

There are about 5 of these, where there were none before and I had none of the above mentioned display issues with my site. I’m going from W3TC being usable to totally unusable with this update. Deactivating it until this can be resolved.

  • Something I have also found is that the JavaScript used for any of the buttons in the notice boxes does not work. The URLs they are trying to call have double-quotes inside of double-quotes. This causes a problem with installing new rules, without manually making the changes, as well as hiding the messages or emptying caches.

Has anyone heard directly from Frederick on these issues?

All I have seen is 9.2.1

Fixed bug with existing installation upgrades: set minify to manual mode

Would be good to get some clarification.

E.G is there another fix coming, or is this it?

I find it odd that Frederick (or someone on his behalf) hasn’t checked in here, if only to say he’s working on it or not. The latest version was a long time coming since 0.9.1.3 and has some cool new features- I’m sure he spent a lot of time on it, and surely he wants to get it working the way he intended. He can’t be happy to see the plugin site listing 105 people saying it’s broken!

My site host support rep had this: “My suggestion would be to uninstall w3total cache, then install WP-super cache.”. Perhaps they have reason to believe this issue may not be addressed well or soon. Any insights from this group?

Is anyone using the latest development version? If so, does it have the same issues?

    TNOLTE,

Hey when you say notice boxes… what do you mean exactly.

Sorry in advance for asking for more detail

    mykkal,

This would be the yellow update & red error notice boxes that appear when the plugin is updated. Those boxes typically have buttons for this plugin to clear the cache or update the .htaccess rules.

Sorry for the trouble everyone. I hope the latest release worked out better for you.
