    Hi,
I’ve set up my shipping rates based on weight, and it works great on the Checkout Page with Credit Card payments, Paypal, and Amazon Pay. It’s not working with Google Pay.
I’m getting- ” Shipping Option Pending – Shipping Option cannot be calculated based on the current information. ” This is before and after the shipping address has been entered. This occurs on the product pages and checkout page. I contacted the payment plugin which is Stripe by Woocommerce and they said the problem is coming from the shipping plugin.
Can you please help me solve this issue ?
    Thank you,
    Heather

    Hi @heatherms27,

When it comes to a message on the product pages, it will not be something that you can solve with our plugin because Flexible Shipping operate on the cart/checkout page.

You mentioned that you contacted the Stripe by WooCommerce developers who pointed out that there was an issue with our plugin. Could you please ask them about the exact technical issue they indicate?

If they do not provide you with this information, could you ask them to contact us directly?

    Best regards,
    Tomek

    Hi Tomek,
Thank you for getting back to me. Please look at this screen shot
    https://momentofperception.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/Shipping-Issue.jpg

This is the Google Pay window that opens on both the product pages and checkout page when you click on their button. You can see that the address has been filled in, but the message still shows the shipping cannot be calculated. This is information that Google Pay gets from your plugin. Unfortunately, this was working a few updates back. You have had updates and so has the Woocommerce Stripe plugin, so somewhere the link was broken. Again the shipping works on the regular checkout, it’s just not working with Google Pay. What the Woocommerce Stripe folks said was ” I wish I could assist you in regards to the use of Flexible Shipping by WP Desk. But we don’t provide support for a product that’s developed by 3rd party developer.”

    Thank you,
    Heather

    Hi Tomak,
I just had a thought. I wonder if it happened when the Flexible Group was converted to individual. I didn’t test it when I made the changeover, but I bet that’s where the issue is. Can I go back and recreate the group to test it, or have you completely done away with it ?
    Thanks,
    Heather

    Hi @heatherms27,

Thank you for your answer and additional description of this issue.

We’ve moved from the Flexible Shipping group shipping method to single shipping methods, so unfortunately the test you mentioned will not be possible.

As for the screenshot you sent – was the address entered first in the cart / on the checkout page or was it entered in the Google Pay popup? Can you check both of these scenarios?

You mentioned that you reported this issue to the creators of the Woocommerce Stripe plugin. Could you, as their client, ask them to contact us directly about this?

    Best regards,
    Tomek

    Hi Tomek,
I checked both options, and it doesn’t matter if the address is entered in the Google Pay popup first or not, the message stays the same.

I contacted the Woocommerce Stripe techs to see if they would be open to contacting you on this. I’ll let you know what they say.
    Thanks,
    Heather

    Hi Tomek,
This is the response I received from the Woocommerce Stripe tech

If the developer would like to send particular questions to us, I can certainly pass them onto the developers, however I cannot guarantee that they will have the time to get involved in fixing bugs in third party plugins.

    Hi @heatherms27,

Thanks for the answer and checking the address settings.

Could you please confirm that this is the plugin that you are using:

After your confirmation, we’ll try to investigate this further.

    Hi @heatherms27,

    Thanks for your confirmation.

While we are trying to recreate this issue in our test environment, could you please check on your website whether for the default WooCommerce “Flat rate” shipping method, you are also getting the same message?

    Best regards,
    Tomek

    Same message with Flat Rate.

    Hi @heatherms27,

Thank you for checking this for me.

If the same message appears for the default WooCommerce method, it indicates that the issue is not with our plugin.

In that case, I suggest that you contact the authors of the Stripe by WooCommerce plugin about this.

I’m sorry you’re being sent back like this. However, we won’t fix it with changes to our plugin, if the Stripe plugin doesn’t work for default WooCommerce shipping methods.

    Best regards,
    Tomek

    Sorry Tomek,
I misunderstood what you were asking. I set up Flat Rate from your plugin, not Woocommerce shipping. I don’t have their shipping enabled. I’ll need to set it up, and test, and then get back to you. Please keep this open until I can get it checked out.
    Thanks

    Hi @heatherms27,

Of course, please let us know when you manage to test it. Once we have that information, we can take the appropriate steps.

    Best regards,
    Tomek
