Issues with Social Images – Facebook

  • WordPress version: 4.0
    WordPress SEO version: 1.6.3

    I did this:

    I added the image I wanted to the “Facebook Image” field on the “Social” tab for Yoast SEO with in the edit post page.

    I expected the plugin to do this:

    I expected for it to add a Meta tag or at least an image link in the page source for facebook to crawl when using the “Object Debugger” provided by Facebook.

    Instead it did this:

    It didn’t add the image to the page source of the post and the image doesn’t show up in the facebook “Object Debugger”. Therefore the image doesn’t show when posting the post url to facebook. (only the featured image shows)
