    Hi,

I’m not able to set up Stripe in the latest version 8.4.0. WordPress version 6.5.4

When I click on the “Edit account keys” button, edit the fields and then save the changes by clicking on “Save live keys” or “Save test keys”, this causes the page to reload. And when I display the keys dialog again through the “Edit account keys” button, I don’t find the entered key. The page is not meant to be reloaded when saving the keys, this is a new behavior that is causing the issue.

The same happens when enabling the test mode: I check the “Enable test mode” checkbox, I save, when I refresh the page, the checkbox of “Enable test mode” is unchecked.

Also, I cannot save the payment methods: I disabled both “Express checkouts” method “Apple Pay / Google Pay” and “Link by Stripe” and saved. When I refresh the page, both payment method are enabled again.

Besides this, I reported a potential conflict issue with another module Conflict with latest version of Stripe for WooCommerce | www.ads-software.com, maybe you can identify the cause, because it happened after your latest update from version 8.3.1 to 8.4.0.

I think there are a couple of regressions caused by the latest version.

Looking forward to your reply. Thank you in advance.

    My best regards,

    Hi @joe16,

    Thanks for reaching out.

I understand you’re having trouble saving your changes in the Stripe settings, specifically with the account keys, test mode, and payment methods. This is indeed an unusual behavior, but I’m here to help you out.

The same happens when enabling the test mode: I check the “Enable test mode” checkbox, I save, when I refresh the page, the checkbox of “Enable test mode” is unchecked.

Could you please confirm if you have any server side caching from your host to rule out any possible caching issues? Also, if using any caching plugins in your site, please try disabling them and check if this makes any difference.

Should the issues persist, please try running a conflict test as described in this guide.

I’m afraid this is a third-party plugin, therefore, we are unable to provide any insights in troubleshooting it. As you’ve already reached out in the correct forum, their support team would be able to assist you.

Please try the aforementioned steps and let us know how it goes.

    Hi @ckadenge,

Thank you for your quick reply.

You are right, it is caused by the cache plugin I’m using (LiteSpeed Cache).

I wasn’t expecting this behavior from the cache. Normally, cache plugins work on the front office side, not on the back office side.

Do you know how to prevent this from happening (meaning being able to update the Stripe setting while using a cache plugin) ?

Looking forward to your reply. Thank you in advance.
