Issues with the latest WordPress version

    I believe this plugin is now causing server over-loads and other issues. Sometimes it even crashed the website and it stops loading for an hour or so. I tried to deactivate other plugins, but it’s 99% this one, so I had to deactivate it.

    Will it be fixed soon? Thanks.

  • +1 this comment. Definitely overloading my server when this plugin is enabled. My site basically doesn’t function. Deactivate the plugin and all is well again.

    Hi guys,

    Please free to look at the code and try to make it faster for your install. The plugin was optimized to be super fast originally, but in order to support more gallery systems, unfortunately, the code HTML had to be parsed as well.

    It’s impossible to make everyone happy, for that I would need to constantly make the code longer, and the plugin slower. And if you want to make it faster, and remove the HTML parsing, then it will stop working for too many cases.

    Right now, it has the right balance. By default, the options are set to work for most users.

    It seems the latest version of WordPress is much slower with HtmlDomParser. So please check the settings, and try DiDom in the settings of the plugin. This one is MUCH faster.
