Issues with UPS plugin and shipping calculations

I have experiencing this issue with our UPS plugin where even though I entered the products shipping weight as in/lb’s, WordPress or the UPS plugin would convert that into cm/kg before calculating the rate in in/lb’s. For example:

Shipping weight and box entered into our product page:
Air tube weight: 1 lbs
Envelope used to ship item: 7x7x4 inches

Once a customer orders an item, I can see the calculation rates has been converted into:
Air tube weight: 0.45 lbs
Envelope used to ship item: 17.8x17x8x10 inches

This will lead to outrageous shipping prices and calls from our customers complaining. I have tried going into our UPS settings just having it calculate in cm/kg thinking it would solve the problem, but it just tells me “There are no shipping methods available. Please double check your address, or contact us if you need any help.”
