Issues with – Using a pre-existing subdirectory install
-
I am just trying to point the root directory to my wordpress folder and now I can not log in.
I followed the instructions to Using a pre-existing subdirectory install, here
https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_DirectoryWhen I tried to log back in at step 7 it redirects and give me Not Found error.
I then tried (below) to force the URL back when I login, it justs reloads the login page when I put in the username and password.
Edit wp-config.php
It is possible to set the site URL manually in the wp-config.php file.Add these two lines to your wp-config.php, where “example.com” is the correct location of your site.
define(‘WP_HOME’,’https://example.com’);
define(‘WP_SITEURL’,’https://example.com’);
