Issues with using vertical images.

  • My issue is with using vertical images in a slide show (thumbnails disabled.

    Every vertical image i upload is too tall for my monitor and displays over the footer. The footer grows to about 250% at this point, then goes back down to normal size for horizontal images. There is also a large white area on the right of the image before the arrow to go to next image.

    Config as fallows:
    (on)Yes, automatically adjust the slideshow height for each slide
    (not set)max height.(if set, it cuts off the bottom of the verticals)
    (no) resize image. When it is on the images don’t show up.
    (900) gallery width. If off, images don’t show up.
    (not set) gallery height. This can’t be turned on with image resize off. When on, it cuts off the bottom of vertical images.

    I am using site builder by origin (full width) if this has anything to do with my issue.

    I assume that the issue is me and not the program. I have tried every combination of settings and have yet to fix the issue.

    I have problems with side-aligned images shrinking to poststamps on mobile.

    This gallery only has 3 images. The first two are horizontal, the third is vertical.

    I am also still looking into making the site mobile friendly. This is my first word press site. I built a couple in Dreamweaver years ago, but i didn’t have to debug them. I am still learning.

    The way that i am getting around this is to make a Photoshop document the same size as my horizontal images and resizing the vertical to fit in the center of the new PS document ??
