• I updated to 6.0 on a test site and experienced the following issues:
    1. All links were automatically recreated three times each for every link so I now have 4 links for the same item.
    2. The paragraph tag that is in the Large Description box seems to be ignored and is appears on the link page.

Thank you Yannick, the re-import did clear up the dupes. Should I wait for you to fix the categories or manually change the id’s? I only have 11.

I am having the < p> issue too.

I will not have time to fix the shortcode category IDs this evening. So you will probably want to update your shortcodes manually if you only have 11.

For the HTML tag issue, I would have expected version 6.0.1 to fix that issue, as it fixed it on my side. Could it be related to a caching of the old version of the page?

Ok, thank you……….will do the manual updating.

For the p paragraph tags, in which are they? The fix I did is for the large description field. Did you have p tags in any other field?

<p > are in the large description. I cleared my browser cache and the caching plugin.

Here is a page for you to see if it happens on your end: https://standupgirl.com/girl-help/philosophy-faith/

I manually removed the < p> on the first link on the page I sent you and it did take this time. Probably is caching.

When you look at the large description in the visual version of the editor, are the paragraph tags there?

    nope…..

Finally got the 6.0.2 update and that cleared up the <p >!

Many thanks to you and fixing this for all of us.
    Cheers,

My pleasure, it is an awesome plugin and your support is outstanding!

I did finally get this to work but it did take a bit of effort. At one point there were 12 duplicates for each link and I have nearly 1,000 links! But fortunately, I have a test site and that proved to be a necessity. I don’t know where Yannick is now with this upgrade but if you are at all concerned with upgrading I suggest using a backup site to test things.

Yannick has been super responsive to our needs and I do intend to donate.

paulpa, Things are getting more and more stable I think, now that the upgrade procedure is more stable and less prone to create duplicates. The number of queries in my mailbox has definitely diminished ??

Thanks in advance for your support!

I either have duplicate links or no links at all. I use 4 different link libraries.

I reverted back to the previous version and it deleted all of my custom coding and settings, so now have to start over!

I appreciate this plugin very much, but this stinks!

Sorry for the trouble you are going through. Did you revert back to previous version through FTP, or through admin interface? If you deleted plugin through admin interface, it would indeed have deleted all options. If you had reverted via FTP, then you would have retained all options.

Do you have a backup of your site database? If so, you could just copy the configuration options and bring them back into your live site.

I can point you to the settings to copy if you have access to a backup.
