    Hello,

A recent update has caused problems for me in the wordpress backend. Most of the buttons disappear from the text editor, with the exception of the Max Buttons add button and the add media button. I cannot enter text in the editor and some wordpress menu options do not seem to be functioning properly (screen options tab, for example.)

I have deactivated all plugins and reactivated them one by one to isolate the issue. I am using Max Buttons version 1.3.7

    Thank you for your time.

That’s unfortunate. It sounds like something is crashing the editors. Does the maxbutton ‘add button’ work if you click on it?

Also please check if you have any buttons that give a weird / incorrect output or display and try to put them in the trash ( for now ) .

Also please see if there are any javascript errors occuring on the site.

Thanks for getting back to me so promptly.

The button is technically clickable but does not function, as is also the case with the standard media button.

I should have checked this before but the buttons are no longer displaying onsite at all, only the code is seen.

Neither do the buttons render in the backend, in fact this page now appears blank. The plugin settings and add new pages continue to show normal text.

I confess my technical knowledge is not such that I can tell for sure if there are any javascript errors present but everything else on the site does appear to be displaying and functioning as expected.

Then something is clearly going wrong. Please try to download the plugin again, and reinstall it, in case something went wrong there.

Following your advice, text editor functionality has returned to normal, the buttons have been restored and are now displaying correctly onsite.

Thank you for your time and assistance, much appreciated.
