frist Thank’s a lot for yours work.

I’ve try to install in 4.7.9 but after the activation, in the menù setting,
were must was “External Login”, is showed only “E ” .
If I click on IT, or from menù=> plugin > External Login => setting
the page show a little loading .. but is stopped and doesn’t load.
I can’t update this version, because I’ve a partially access.
Can you kindley check your module with this version?
    regards
    Sandro

    Hey Sandrope,

I’ve just checked and it appears to be working on a fresh installation of 4.7.9 for me.

As always I recommend you take a DB and code backup before continuing with these steps, but to help me help you, can you please do the following.

    – Download the Health Check plugin.
    – Go to the admin area
    – Click on Dashboard (near the top left)
    – Click the “Debug Information” tab
    – Click “Show copy and paste field in English”
    – Copy and paste the details here so I can have a look at your setup

Once that is done it’d be nice to see if the plugin is clashing with other plugins you have installed.

This same plugin has a “Troubleshooting” tab. Try clicking that and work your way through there, activating one plugin at a time till you see the issue.

Lastly, we could look at any browser errors you’re getting. You can open the developer tools in your browser, go to the “Console” tab and refresh your page. I’d be interested to see if you got any error outputted.

Let me know if you need any further help with any of these steps.

    Thanks,

    Tom

The problem ist that you are using php 5.6. The plugin seems to have been written for php 7.

I fixed it in my own wp installation, however the changes will be gone with the next update i guess…

    Hey Zalnart,

Feel free to let me know about the changes you made so I can make it compatible. Alternatively, it’d be great if you can make a pull request:

    Thanks,

Okay, i think i managed to create a pull request. I don’t really know how to work with github, but it should have worked ??

    Hey @sandrope and @zalnart,

Using direction from Zalnart I have released a new version (1.3.0) that should work. I have tested it locally on PHP 5.6.34.

Could you please advise if this is working for you?

    Thanks,

    Tom

    Hey there!

Yes, it is working now. Thank you!

    That’s great news!

I’d be really grateful if you could write a quick review.

Thanks again for your help @zalnart!
