• Beware: this plugin throws a small footer link back to their website on all pages on your site when the plugin is active. This is a cheap way to goose Google for backlinks.

In fact, Google discourages this kind of linking, so you negatively impacting your website when you use this plugin.

@papayainternet Thanks for the review but please keep it to your words here only. No links or links to images. That’s not permitted in reviews and I have removed yours.

That’s not permitted by the plugin guidelines. Any link added must be strictly opt in only. Can you please send the details to plugins[at]www.ads-software.com? They can investigate and have the developer correct that.

    Hello @papayainternet ,
It’s up to you to enable the back link or not.
This is opt in as @jdembowski mentioned, not mandatory.

@sumaiyaf You’re completely disingenuous to say that this is “opt-in.” There is no opt-in or even a mention that by enabling the plugin the end user agrees to adding a piece of code that includes small backlink in the footer every single page to another website.

Search Google for “PHP Code Snippets Powered By : XYZScripts.com” and you can see thousands of pages with this link in the footer. You mean to tell me that these webmasters opted into giving you credit for using their plugin on all their pages?

This is spam and is a violation of Google’s Webmaster Guidelines and apparently WordPress’ guidelines.

    Hello @papayainternet ,
There is a setting ,credit link to author (https://wpdemo.xyzscripts.com/wp-content/gallery/insert-php-code-snippet/insert-php-code-snippet-basic.png)– Enable this option for adding credit link to the plugin author, Disable it if you don’t want to .
