It almost works…kind of

I keep getting this to finally work and then it somehow just breaks itself. It seems about every other time I check my site, it is either working fine or is totally busted with error messages. When I get the errors, I have to uninstall and reinstall, reset all my settings, sometimes MULTIPLE times to get it to work again. Not really a sustainable option to having a live site.

I am sure the developer is busy, but I haven’t gotten any responses to my support requests yet (it’s been 2 days), and I can see there are a lot of other people who have had the same problems as me, but their ‘solutions’ are temporary at best since the errors seem to pop up repeatedly for unknown reasons.

Additionally, this plugin has some weird limitations I would expect it to have settings / inputs for. Aside from being able to edit the templates (which is great) there are no settings for the cache refresh (how often your site gets updated results from eventbrite) nor are there settings for how many posts per page you want to show on the site. I had to custom code through the API to display ticket prices (should be a given), and can’t control whether or not there is a permalink around the featured image on archive pages. There isn’t a ton of thought into customization from the user end of this plugin (there are NO settings in the WordPress dashboard).

Overall I can see that the developer has done a lot of work, but it’s not to the point where I can actually trust it or use it for a real website. I want to give it a higher rating but until the bug issues are resolved and things are working smoother, I can’t ??
