• This plugin is nice and simple to use but sadly it has problems with several themes that I have tested it on. In particular, it happens that it appears only on some pages and not on others. It seems that if there are already links to the email or a phone number on the page, the bar does not appear. Also to make it display I had to disable the autoptimize plugin …
Is it possible to verify and correct these problems? Thanks

  • for autoptimize; first and foremost try to identify what is breaking the contact bar by just disabling CSS or JS or HTML or Image optimization (incl. lazyload). Based on that we can see what the next steps need to be ??

Hi Frank, thanks for your answer but i already disabled Autoptimize and still the contact bar appears on some pages and not on others.
In particular on mobile it doesn’t appear in the Homepage or in the Contact page.
The only thing i can think about, is that on these pages there are already other links to phone or email (tel:+39… or mailto:info@…) so it seems to be some sort of conflict.
In fact the contact bar is visible on About us that contains only plain text.
Could you please check my website? Cause it makes no sense…
    Thanks in advance

If the problem persists with Autoptimize off, then indeed it is not related to AO and you can re-enable it jaguattina, but I’m afraid I can’t help beyond that as I know AO (I’m the developer) but I don’t know “mobile contact bar” I’m afraid. Maybe set it as “not resolved” (I can’t do that but I think you as original poster can) and wait for the MCB developer to join?

    Hi @jaguattina,

the issue might related to the caching of your site, you might see the old version of your site (without the contact bar). You might need to clear the caches.

Also it worth to note, that the caching plugins usually store two different versions of a site: one for desktop, and one for mobile. The contact bar uses wp_is_mobile() function to detect if the visitor uses a mobile device.

I was looking at your website both on desktop and mobile.

    1. I have started with mobile, and I can confirm, that I was not able to see the contact bar on all pages.
    2. After that I opened your site on desktop, and visited a couple of pages.
    3. Then again I switched back to a mobile device, and all your pages have got the contact bar.

Is it possible that the caches refreshed themselves somehow? I do not know what happened. Can you tell what kind of caching method/plugin do you use?

OK thanks again i made other tests. I enabled again Autoptimize but i had to disable Fastest Cache. It seems that is the cache enabled to create some issues…

Oh, I see now your answer ?? You disabled the Fastest Cache plugin, and the pages loaded without that ??

Added an item to the FAQ section about clearing the caches.
