<p>I simply cannot proceed to checkout when this plugin is activated, the website crashes the moment I click “proceed to checkout”.I’m using Stripe WooCommerce Payments by Payment Plugins https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/woo-stripe-payment/ without any issue. Many times I tried switching to the default WooCommerce Stripe Payment Gateway plugin because it’s more compatible with other plugins but every time I try it fails to function.</p>

  • Hey @barnabas1

I understand that your website crashes at the checkout when the plugin is installed.

This kind of problem is usually caused by a conflict with your theme or with another plugin.
    ?
The best way to determine this is to:

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

    Hope this helps!

    @barnabas1,

Hello! Could you clarify a bit more what you mean when you say the official Stripe plugin “fails to function”? When you’ve tested it, did you disable the Striple plugin by Payment Plugins?

    Thanks

I’ll try to test again on a staging site. I just haven’t yet got the time and the heart to do it.

On my live site I had several trials while the Payment Plugin for Stripe by payment plugins, was deactivated but still my site was craching.

I’ll come back to you once I complete the tests on a staging environment.

    @barnabas1

Thanks — Looking forward to any additional information you’re able to provide to help us track down why the official Stripe plugin isn’t working for you.

I did debug the website on a staging enviroment and I found that the problem is with the plugin
CURCY – WooCommerce Multi Currency – Currency Switcher

I have the pro version, I don’t know if the conflict exists also for the free version

    I hope this information helps.

    Will you implement the compatibility?

    Hello,

So sorry to hear about this issue.

found that the problem is with the plugin
CURCY – WooCommerce Multi Currency – Currency Switcher

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide support for third-party plugins, I highly recommend contacting the plugin support they can help you regarding this issue, and after that feel free to let us know if the issue persists.

    Thank you.

Ok, I’ll do so, but it might be well worth it to check whether your plugin is compatible with multi currency plugins in general, since you get so many negative reviews.

    Hi @barnabas1,

WooCommerce Stripe is not tested for compatibility with third-party plugins not developed by us. As suggested by Igor above you may want to reach out to your CURCY – WooCommerce Multi Currency plugin author and check with them what could be causing the malfunction.

    Best.

    Hi Mirko,

I understand, I’ll reach out to them.

I’ll update you if it gets fixed.

    Kind regards,
    Barnabas

    Hey @barnabas1,

I’m trying to reproduce the issue you’re seeing with the official Stripe plugin and the CURCY – WooCommerce Multi Currency plugin. I’ve installed that plugin and enabled two currencies, but checkout seems to still work as expected with either currency when using the official Stripe plugin.

I was wondering if you could share a little bit more detail about how exactly it is not working for you.

    Thanks,
    Evan

    Hello @evandotpro,

Just today I managed to figure out the problem. In the past after activating the plugin I would get an error when trying to proceed to checkout. This time everything was working ok after activating the plugin but the payment method was not loading at the checkout. CURCY plugin has an option under the Checkout settings enable and disable payment methods for each checkout currency. There the default Woocommerce Stripe plugin was not selected and this was the reason of being invisible at the checkout.

All is sorted out now. Thank you for being here and pushing me to test further.

    Kind regards,
    Barnabas

    Today I woke up to a disaster…
All product attributes disappeared, two woo-commerce orders came in as pending after people tried to pay. Product quantities were showing 0 ??

Complete mess.. No matter how much I want to support you, I simply can’t.

    Hi @barnabas1,

What you’re describing doesn’t sound like typical behavior for the WooCommerce Stripe plugin; I’m wondering if there’s something else going on with your site.

Can you pop over to https://woocommerce.com/my-account/create-a-ticket/ and open a ticket with us so that we can investigate together in more detail? We’d really love to help figure out what’s happening and get your site up and running.

    Hello Jessica,

Thank you for offering to help.

It’s a problem with the Redis Object Cache plugin which it was messing up totally everything on my website.

I’ve spend 3 days on this while trying to enable the payment plugin. Only now I’ve seen how many users have problems with the latest updates of Redis.??

    Best,
    Barnabas
